As it was reported earlier on this site, the famous Guelaguetza festival 2020 edition, which was scheduled for the end of July and takes place every year in Oaxaca, was postponed because the state was in red light due to the number of COVID-19 infections.
And although the governor of that state, Alejandro Murat, mentioned that the expected event is being evaluated for December 2020, authorities recently confirmed that the Guelaguetza will be held on July 20th and 27th of this year.
However, the folkloric festival will be held virtually, which will be transmitted at 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., through Corporación Oaxaqueña de Radio y Televisión, CORTV and social media of the agencies involved in the great event.
But what will there be in this special edition? According to the Secretary of Tourism (Sectur Oaxaca), the Secretary of Economy (SE) and the Secretary of Culture and Arts of Oaxaca (Seculta), there will be a series of transmissions that include: concerts, talks, documentaries and videos about the Guelaguetza.
But that's not all, during this month of July, through the Guelaguetza Oficial social media you will be able to find different activities, which you can check out in the following link.
