The Department of Sustainable Economy and Tourism in Baja California revealed to a local news source in Tijuana that as of Saturday, some Cinepolis movie theaters were allowed to reopen, even though the state is still at a red light.

This was announced after a publication made by Cinépolis, where it stated that they were preparing for their return in Tijuana and Mexicali, they also informed them about the sanitary protocols that would be carried out.

If you go on the Cinépolis website you will be able to buy tickets for any of the following cinemas: Traditional Plaza Río, VIP Plaza Río, Plaza Sendero, Paseo Chapultepec, Carrousel and Paseo 2000.

Customers are asked to use face masks, wash their hands and use anti-bacterial gel placed in different dispensers located in the theater. Some measures that workers will implement are wearing protective equipment, constant washing and sanitizing, safe distance, change of clothing, and avoiding physical contact. Know more about these measures in this link.

This news comes just a few weeks after the ban in California on activities in enclosed places, such as movie theaters, gyms, restaurants, bars, among others.

In view of the news, some users consider that it is not time for movie theaters to reopen in the border city.
