100 people fined for cutting in line at the San Ysidro Port of entry

The weekend the "gaviotones (big seagulls)" took advantage of this situation to let cars to the line

This weekend the sanitary filters were carried out at the International San Ysidro Port of Entry, which caused an enormous increase in the number of people crossing from Tijuana to San Diego, which is why the Municipal Police is carrying out a special operation.

The operation was led by the Secretary of Security, who reported that as of 10:00 a.m. on Monday more than 100 people were arrested for committing some administrative offense.

He acknowledged that during the weekend because of the long lines, the well-known "gaviotones (big seagulls)" took advantage of this situation, asking for money from the drivers to get between the line and give way to the cars that got in without waiting in line.

Some users have expressed in social networks that they waited up to 10 hours in line to cross to the United States and about 4 hours to cross by foot, however, the crossings on Monday were regulated with waiting times of up to 2 hours approximately. Official groups such as ''How's the Line'' have said that this day they have waited up to four hours in line.
