Rosarito Government to fine those who climb Cerro Coronel

Citizens who come to the beaches of this municipality at unauthorized times and during the weekend, will also be warned

The Government of Rosarito Beaches issued a statement reiterating the prohibition of hiking or trekking in the Cerro Coronel, as part of the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

According to this document, people who meet in large groups for the purpose of exploration, camping, hiking or walking, especially at this spot in Rosarito, "will be warned and could be brought before the Municipal Judge," said Francisco Arellano Ortiz, head of the Department of Public Safety (SSC).

In turn, it was mentioned that the beaches of this municipality will only be available Monday through Friday from 6:00 to 10:00 in the morning and from 5:00 in the afternoon to 7:00 at night, while on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) are closed.

Given this, the Municipal President, Araceli Brown Figueredo, said that "warnings to citizens who come to the beaches at unauthorized times and during the weekend keep coming".

Did you plan to carry out any of these activities in Rosarito in the coming days? What do you think about this news?
