Construction of new entry booth confirmed between Tijuana - San Diego

During his morning conference, the President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, together with representatives of the Private Initiative, announced this Monday, October 5th, 39 projects with which they plan to reactivate the country's economy in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of this "National Infrastructure Plan", the Private Initiative will collaborate by financing at least 50% of the total cost of the public infrastructure project.

Among the projects in the Communications and Transportation sector that have not yet been executed and that were announced today, is the construction of the Mesa de Otay II international border crossing.

This project, which is the only one to be carried out in Baja California, is expected to begin construction in December 2021, which will have an investment of two thousand 800 million pesos and will be carried out under a public-private or mixed participation scheme, as presented.
