It was in 2006 when U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Tijuana wanting to make an investment in Mexican beaches, between Tijuana and Rosarito, with the goal of creating a series of condos that he would supposedly call "Trump Ocean Resort".

All those involved were expectant and confident that a first class resort would be built, with prices ranging from $350,000 to almost $1 million; models were shown, excavations began and soon pre-sales were made.

According to the complaint imposed by Jaime Martinez Veloz on October 29, 2016, basically, in one day the entire tower was sold to almost two hundred investors, who placed all their trust in the then real estate agent.

Considering that the current U.S. president received millions of dollars as an advance payment for this project, he never paid the Mexican treasury the corresponding amount. This resulted in a crime of tax fraud, not only for defrauding investors, but also for not paying taxes for the actions taken.

In 2017, Martinez Veloz, extended his complaint, adding another charge to those previously mentioned, since the probable sale of a beach within a strip of less than 50 kilometers to a foreigner is considered a tax violation, according to the tenth paragraph, clause I, of Article 27 of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States.

It is important to point out that the condos in Punta Bandera, and for which they were paid, were never completed, and Trump and the construction company did not carry out procedures with government agencies either, which is why Martinez Veloz labels him "undocumented" or illegal.

Almost 5 years after the first lawsuit was filed, Jaime Cleofas recalled on October 31st of this year that despite all the irregularities committed during the project, which in the end never took place, the FGR continues in silence.
