Prices for Mexican passports increase

The SRE reported through its social media that prices will increase

2021 arrived and with this new year also comes an increase in the cost of Mexican passports, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) through its social media. This increase will be reflected as of January 1, 2021, that is, it is already in effect.

Discounts for people over 60 years old or with disabilities will continue at 50%. Likewise, this discount will be applied to Mexican temporary workers in Canada. Here is a list of the new prices that will be observed during this new year:

Passport with duration of 1 year - $645 pesos
Passport for 3 years - $1, 345 pesos
Passport for 6 years - $1, 845 pesos
10 year passport - $ 2, 400 pesos

These are the options presented by the SRE to carry out your procedure: In person, with previous appointment in the 45 Delegations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or in the State and Municipal Liaison Offices with the SRE. And the option of appointments via telephone, free of charge by calling 800 8010 773, Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 hours and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00 hours.

Please note that some SRE offices in Mexico are closed due to health contingencies, these include Mexico City, State of Mexico and Baja California.
