After being closed for several days due to a sewage spill that contaminated the sea, Playas de Rosarito opened its access to people again and resumed its activities.

Although the mayor of the municipality, Araceli Brown, reported Sunday afternoon that, officially, these spaces are now allowed entry, she did not release the results of water quality tests.

The closure of the beaches was due to an electrical failure in the wastewater treatment plant located in the neighborhood Leyes de Reforma, so it was said that the beaches would remain closed for at least two weeks.

Street vendors and horse renters returned to the coast to wait for visitors.
