In its 2021 edition the Michelin Guide France recognized the talent of AM by Alexandre Mazzia in Marseille who obtained their third star, in addition to 54 more restaurants by obtaining their first star, as was the case of the restaurant Oxte in Paris, by the Mexican Enrique Casarrubias.
Oxte, named after the town where the parents of the Mexican-born chef were born, is a small and cozy restaurant in the Etoile district of Paris offering a modern cuisine with Mexican influences, with the condiments, herbs and spices that Casarrubias only knows how to use.
"The master of the ovens signs dishes that are thought out, controlled, with proper cooking and invigorating seasonings. He is colorful, punchy and well seasoned" is described in the portal of this renowned guide.
Oxte's specialties include albacore tuna such as ceviche, mussels and peppers, as well as Paloma, a powdered tortilla and multicolored chard, in addition to avocado, white chocolate and lime.
Casarrubias is not only the chef but also part of the service team in his restaurant.
The Mexican embassy in France congratulated the Mexican for putting Mexican gastronomy on the map abroad.
