Pedro Ochoa Palacio, head of the Secretariat of Culture of Baja California (SCBC), announced the declaration of ''La Rumorosa'' as Cultural Heritage, this during the technical round table of the Heritage Council to be held today.

The Legal Department of the General Secretariat of the Government has given them full support to continue the initiative and thus be able to give the area the protection and recognition it deserves.

Tomorrow (January 20), members of the General Secretariat and the Secretariat of Economy will meet at the SIDURT (Secretariat of Infrastructure, Urban Development and Territorial Reorganization) to discuss the details of this proposal and answer possible concerns.

On January 28, the declaration will be completed at the Cultural Heritage Council, once all the procedures indicated by law have been satisfactorily concluded.

La Rumorosa is a natural landscape that is part of the municipality of Tecate, also cataloged as one of the most spectacular, but at the same time dangerous, areas of Mexico, which year after year attracts the attention of tourists for its hiking trails, of course, with the permission of the official authorities of the region.
