Update: These are the visa services available in Tijuana

The U.S. Embassy in Mexico issued an update on visa services in different parts of the country.

A few days ago they updated the website of the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Mexico, detailing which visa services are being offered in some points of our country. Please note that the services listed below have a very limited availability.

Due to the above, there may be significant delays in obtaining visas. If you wish to renew your visa, you can make your appointment on this page, while the eligibility requirements for renewal can be found on this page, both are official pages of the consulates.

Here is the list of the different entities with the services available:

Tijuana is offering Non-interview and visa renewal services. Likewise, it will be possible to process F, M and J categories for students. Meanwhile, E1 and H2 types will be possible only in emergency cases. At the moment there is no service for those who are trying to obtain the B1 and B2 tourist visas for the first time, according to the consulate.

The consulate informs that if the applicants have an urgent need to travel, they can apply for an emergency visa on this page.

On the other hand, they informed that routine appointments for applicants who are not residents of Mexico are not available, so if you want to extend your legal stay in the United States you should click here.
