A group of people in favor of the legalization of marijuana dedicated this weekend to reforest part of Benito Juarez Park, located near the Municipal Palace.

After the Zocalo July 11 project failed in its construction, the area has been deteriorating, so advocates of green areas and several citizens have devoted themselves to place new trees in recent years.

On the occasion of the arrival of spring, the pro-cannabis group held a ceremony and planted various shrubs and other plants that do not require much water for their sustenance.

The people also cleaned up the park, since the increase of street vendors has led to a proliferation of garbage, which is becoming more and more constant and damages the common areas to which the population has access.
