A migrant woman and her daughter kneel before a Border Patrol agent at the San Ysidro border checkpoint

This Wednesday night at the Tijuana border crossing into San Ysidro, a migrant woman and her daughter were captured approaching a border patrol agent.

In the video shared by a Facebook user, it can be seen how they kneel down to make a request that is believed to be for access to the United States. In what was captured, the agents only ask for assistance from their companions, but the recording ends without a resolution, although it is inferred that it was a refusal.

The situation of migrants has not improved in the city of Tijuana, after several demonstrations that took place last month demanding an opportunity so that the president, Joe Biden, would give them asylum. On the occasion they warned that they will not leave the place until they get a positive response.

This has brought contradictory opinions among Tijuana residents, there are those who agree with this movement and support the position of the migrants, while there are others who claim that they only bring disorder and cause long lines to cross into the United States.
