The local baseball team, Toros de Tijuana, announced through a press release that it will hold the first games of its new 2021 season behind closed doors.

The reason lies in the current cases of COVID-19, which have increased in some sectors of the state, and due to health authorities' dispositions they prefer to wait a few weeks.

The sports matches will start this Tuesday, May 25 at the Chevron Stadium. It is important to remember that hundreds of people were being massively received there every day to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Toros de Tijuana announced the possibility of receiving fans at their stadium for the following games, with preference for their Toro fans and those who have purchased tickets for the first series of the season.

They thanked their fans for their patience and understanding and were hopeful about an optimal outlook to enjoy the games of the king of sports again.
