Mexican Consulate in San Diego announces Saturday passport processing day

This June 5th you will have the opportunity to process your Mexican passport at any U.S. Consulate in the U.S.

Good news for those who are allowed to cross the border or who have permission to reside in the United States: the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) has just informed that this June 5 will be an extraordinary day to process passports and license plates at Mexican consulates.

According to the SRE, this decision was made to meet the growing demand of the Mexican community in the United States, who need to process their documents during non-business hours. All 50 Mexican consulates in the United States, including the one in San Diego, will participate in this event.

What do I need to do to visit the consulate and complete my paperwork? It is very simple, all you have to do is schedule an appointment through Mexitel's website or call 1-877-639-4835. You can also visit the consulate for more information.

If you are from San Diego, the consulate is located at 1549 India St, San Diego, CA 92101 and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you do not reside in San Diego, the SRE has provided this link through which you can see the address of the rest of the Mexican consulates located in the United States.
