The lake at Morelos Park is refilled after rehabilitation works

Tijuana's Municipal System of Theme Parks began filling the lake at Morelos Park

After the area was rehabilitated, the Municipal System of Theme Parks of Tijuana (Simpatt) began the task of filling the lake of Morelos Park again. This is for the benefit of the animals and plants of the place as well as its visitors.

"Actions were carried out to guarantee a lake and dock that will remain in optimal conditions for many years, for the use and enjoyment of the citizens who regularly visit this space with their families," explained the director of the municipal agency, Azahel Mercedes Puente Camarena.

She pointed out that the cleaning, dredging and rehabilitation works at the lake lasted several weeks in order to provide a cleaner space for the ducks that live in this area and a better image for visitors.

He mentioned that the lake has an extension of 250 meters and a volume of more than 13 thousand 380 cubic meters, so it will take several weeks to be at an optimum level to accommodate a diversity of species.

Puente Camarena pointed out that this lake represents a natural habitat for species such as the common duck, Canadian duck, crane and coot, which are migratory birds; in addition to fish such as the lobina, shrimp, toads and soft-shell and casquito turtles, which are species of the region.
