Tijuana will recognize exemplary citizens with a Civic Merit Medal

The City Council will award those who have contributed in the social, academic, artistic or professional fields

Outstanding community personalities and exemplary citizens who have raised the municipality with their contributions in the professional, academic or social fields, will be awarded by the Tijuana City Hall with the "Josefina Rendón Parra" Civic Merit Award, for which a call for candidates has already been launched.

The nominees must be natives of Tijuana or prove their residence to obtain this recognition.

Among the categories to be awarded are: art, health, social service, culture, education, public servant, heroic acts, as well as the Civic Merit for having excelled in the promotion of culture, civic development and the progress of society.

Candidates have until July 2 to register through the General Secretariat of the Municipal Government and will be analyzed by a qualifying jury, made up of important personalities in the city.

The Civic Merit "Josefina Rendón Parra Medal" represents the highest distinction granted by the city to people who have made contributions to our community through their work, study, art or who have generated a transcendental change in the political or social sector.
