On Tuesday, June 22, the Board of Directors of Club Pericos de Puebla, together with the Sports Vice Presidency, announced the signing of prospect Manuel Castro with the San Diego Padres.

Manuel Castro is originally from Guasave, Sinaloa, and at just 19 years of age, he can throw between 93 and 92 miles per hour.

Manuel Castro, a member of the Pericos de Puebla Academy in Atlixco, was signed by the San Diego Padres Major League Baseball organization as a prospect pitcher, which is why he will soon begin his process with a plan to make his debut soon.

Emmanuel Rangel, scout of the San Diego Padres, revealed that they had been following Manuel Castro's steps for a couple of years; however, due to the health emergency they had not been able to finalize the move.
