The Delta variant that originated in India a few months ago, keeps the world worried; even in the State of California, which had begun to relax measures, has recommended the population to continue with the use of masks.

Mexico has also issued some recommendations for Mexican travelers. The Secretariat of Foreign Affairs (SRE) called on Mexicans to take measures in case of international travel.

They explained that the variants that have been identified in some parts of the world (including Mexico), have caused an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus, for which reason they have recommended that if you must travel, you should have medical insurance during your stay abroad.

Likewise, they stressed: "...the importance of implementing preventive measures for international travel, the Government of Mexico reiterates its commitment to provide the necessary consular assistance and protection to Mexican citizens who find themselves in emergency situations abroad".

They added that it should be considered that air connectivity will continue to be limited and that, therefore, there may be unforeseen changes. This could mean logistical difficulties abroad, affecting people's mobility and travel plans.
