Mayor of Tijuana supports child and youth development through cultural activities

The mayor has supported several programs for Tijuana's youth

The Mayor of Tijuana, Karla Ruiz Macfarland has made a commitment to all citizens to improve their quality of life. This also extends to the youngest, who through social programs have enjoyed events and recognitions especially for them.

The mayor has supported various programs to promote physical culture in the Municipal Sports Institute of Tijuana (Imdet), where they have announced that a series of activities have been resumed, after the color of the Epidemiological Traffic Light changed in Baja California.

The activities that the mayor has supported are physical activation classes such as yoga, karate do, boxing, volleyball and swimming. In addition to this, in June, she went to the Villa del Prado neighborhood to lead the reactivation of the Wellness Saturdays.

The objective of these Saturdays is for children and adolescents to carry out activities that allow them to have an active and healthy life.

Likewise, the Inclusive Children's Mini-Olympics was held at the CREA Sports Unit, which was attended by Mayor Karla Ruiz. In this event, both children and parents participated in activities such as: 50-meter bike races, ball throwing, obstacle courses, frisbee and speed races.

Likewise, last week the mayor was very happy to have attended the unveiling of the stars of the children artists of Tijuana, as part of the project "El Paseíto de la Fama" (the little walk of fame), to honor and recognize the children who stand out in the artistic, sports and cultural areas.
