Tijuana's City Hall has been promoting the payment of property taxes for months, in addition to this, they inform you that 100% of fines will be forgiven and that you will receive an additional 3 percent discount if you pay online and during the month of July.

With the COVID-19 crisis in Baja California, the Tijuana institution has shared alternative ways through its social media to make your property tax payment in a safer, easier and more accessible way. One of them is through the City Hall portal.

We´ll tell you the steps you must follow to pay your property tax from the comfort of your home:

1. Enter this website
2. Create a username and password
3. Enter your cadastral code
4. Enter the numbers that appear in the lower part
5. Click on "generate receipt" if you want to pay at a government office or select "pay online" if you want to pay from home

If you do not have an old receipt or you want to print a new one, you can also go to the ATMs in your nearest government office. The one located in the palace can be visited Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Please remember that if you want to process any document at the civil registry located at the government palace, you will have to make an appointment in advance (you can schedule it here). When you arrive there will be lines divided by procedures and you will be allowed access shortly after 8 a.m.
