Marina del Pilar, in search of well-being in Baja California, visits the presidential cabinet

The Governor-Elect also addressed issues related to the development and strengthening of the Fourth Transformation in Baja California

The Governor Elect of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, is preparing for her state administration by holding a series of strategic meetings with members of the federal cabinet.

One of these meetings was with the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón, with whom she agreed on the need to take advantage of Baja California's geographic position to turn the state into a worldwide logistic center.

Marina del Pilar pointed out that they will work hand in hand with the Secretariat so that "our talents, creativity, industry and our name reaches further and further abroad", she also expressed that she personally thanked Ebrard Casaubón "for his efforts in making our state the first to be fully vaccinated, as well as the continuous work with the United States so that the border will be reopened soon".

Likewise, in honor of Baja Californians being able to use creativity and tourism to boost the economy, the Governor-Elect also held a meeting with the Secretary of Tourism of the Mexican Government, Miguel Torruco, with the intention of advancing in the development of our state's tourism potential.

"Secretary Torruco knows well that in Baja California we have it all, beautiful beaches, culture and creative industries such as gastronomy and wine, that is why our new Secretary of Tourism will work in coordination with the Federation to put our state on the map worldwide," said Marina del Pilar.

During the gubernatorial campaign, the first woman to govern the state said that promoting tourism means more welfare, more development, better infrastructure and wealth that stays in the hands of Baja California families, since there are many families that live from this economic activity, and require the support of the authorities to overcome the problems they face.

The Governor-Elect also held a work meeting with the President of the National Executive Committee (CEN) of MORENA, Mario Delgado Carrillo, to address issues related to the development and strengthening of the Fourth Transformation in Baja California, which was confirmed on June 6th as the most "Morenista" state in Mexico.

Other relevant people who were part of Marina del Pilar's work agenda in Mexico City were Lázaro Cárdenas Batel, who is responsible for preparing projects and providing advice to the Presidency of the Republic, and Santiago Nieto Castillo, head of the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) of the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), whose work has been fundamental to dismantle the economic structures of organized crime.

Finally, Marina del Pilar pointed out that the tour of the country's capital is intended to build ties and implement projects that will become, from next November, public policies that will continue to bring welfare to Baja California communities, which will have the support of the leadership of the federal government, starting with the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
