Governor Marina de Pilar flags the start of Score Baja 1000

The Score Baja returns to Ensenada after one year of absence

The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, was in charge of inaugurating the famous race Score Baja 1000 event. This globally renowned event will have a significant influence on the state of Baja California, leaving around 20 million pesos in the region.

The race consists of a route of 1,227 miles (2,000- kilometer) circuit between Ensenada and La Paz, Baja California Sur, with 350 teams from 25 countries competing.

In her message, Marina del Pilar thanked Score World for selecting Baja California as the capital of "Off-Road," racing the state back into the international spotlight and ensuring that they would have full support from state officials on their tour across the region. Before her flag-raising, the president took part in a symbolic flag-raising with armed forces in honor of the big athletic event.

"The Score Baja 1000 returns to the capital of off-road racing, Ensenada! After a year of absence, they started the engines for the more than 1200 miles that will run in this 54th edition; Ensenada is proudly the home for fans who gather year offer year. I wish the best of success with all my heart to all the competitors in this edition!" -The governor of the state comments on her Facebook page.
