The current governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar, has restored foreign investors' faith in the state, which is why the firm Broan Nutone, with a 60 million dollar investment, has become the municipality of Tecate's most significant employment.

Following a discussion with firm officials, the Governor of Baja California stated that it was agreed to make a new investment in the above-mentioned industrial facility, which was originally from Manila, due to the region's confidence.

With the development of its facility, which will create 1,200 employment, the Broan-Nutone firm, which manufactures household ventilation equipment, will become Tecate's largest employer.

The Governor stated that this is merely the start of a series of investments that will come to Baja California, as significant corporations know that they now have the government's backing and legal certainty, allowing them to establish and expand in the state.

Vicente López, the plant's General Director, was present at the conference and spoke about the company's future ambitions to expand in the region.

He said that the plant's formal opening is scheduled for the first quarter of next year and that it is anticipated that not only manufacturing processes but also other areas such as design would be carried out.

According to Vicente López, General Director of Broanm-Nutone, the firm began operations in Tecate in 2008 and is now ISO 90012008 accredited by UL Mexico and certified as a secure organization and DFT (Demand Flow Technology) certified.

The management commended Governor Marina Del Pilar vila Olmeda to support this new investment, which would provide more job opportunities for Tecate residents.

The working meeting was also attended by Kurt Honold Morales, Baja California's Secretary of Economy and Innovation, and Rodolfo Andrade, Baja California's Undersecretary of the Government.
