Marina del Pilar intends to boost the economy of Baja California households

After months of being hampered by the covid-19 outbreak, the governor of Baja California intends to promote small companies and enhance the economy of families.

Marina del Pilar vila Olmeda, the governor of Baja California, has launched a Business Financing program aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, which are an essential engine in the entity's development as well as the source of income for thousands of households, and for which a budget of more than one billion pesos will be used in collaboration with the federal government. This initiative aims to rebuild the economy of families in the state, particularly those whom the pandemic has hit the hardest.

The president stated during the fourth edition of "Morning Wednesday with Marina del Pilar," held in Tijuana, that genuine economic dynamism is one of her administration's priorities, as it is linked to the expansion of Social Welfare policies that leads the Fourth Transformation, and that as a result, an investment of more than one billion pesos will be allocated to the business strengthening program.

In this regard, she outlined various initiatives such as the "Empréndete Program," aimed at entrepreneurs who require furniture and equipment as a first investment to establish their firms and would receive funding of up to 30,000 pesos.

Another example is the "Despega Program," which focuses on acquiring the goods and resources that students require to launch their company concepts, with the State Government as an ally in achieving their goals.

Kurt Honold Morales, Baja California's Secretary of Economy and Innovation, was present at the conference and explained that there is an initial bag for projects, which includes helping companies protect their payroll from the effects of the pandemic in their operations, which will prevent people from losing their jobs and, with it, their families support.

The Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, Miguel Aguiiga Rodrguez, was present at the press conference. He discussed the importance of social tourist and the state government's efforts to encourage tourism businesses because of their ability to produce jobs.

Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda emphasized Baja California's growing importance to the national economy as a result of its strategic location, arguing that the necessary policies will be implemented to take advantage of these competitive advantages and turn them into well-being for the population, particularly in sectors that have been neglected for years.
