"Seagulls" or "seagulls" have been talking about since before non-essential border crossings were banned due to the Covid-19 pandemic because instead of standing in line like every other traveler who wants to enter the United States, they prefer to save time by getting between cars or people in areas closer to the port of entry.

This has sparked widespread outrage among affected citizens and tourists, and on November 8, when the border was reopened, police and traffic elements of the city conducted operations against those who carried out these actions, with those who did so being pulled off the line, sent to the end of the line, and in some cases having their car towed away.

These actions and supervisions are not carried out in the same way at pedestrian crossings, and several users have expressed their dissatisfaction in Facebook groups where they publicize the waiting times in vehicular and pedestrian lines. These users are no longer silent and have begun to denounce these "seagulls."

This week, a user posted a video to one of these forums, in which you can see a man trying to get into the line that is going to access the pedestrian port of entry of San Ysidro. After a few seconds, this man gets hit in the back with a rucksack, the individual exits after a few words, and everything returns to normal.

According to the user who posted this video, said person was under the influence of alcohol and was attempting to get in line; his companion was arrested, but he insisted on entering the line, resulting in the altercation as mentioned above; the user also stated that said person was under the influence of alcohol and was attempting to get in line; his companion was arrested, but he insisted on entering the line, resulting in the aforementioned altercation; He explains that "seagull" encounters are every day, and that if this is reported to immigration officers, they claim that it does not fall under their authority, but rather that of Mexico, which does not have a solution to the problem.
