Baja California has returned to an orange traffic signal, according to Marina del Pilar

The government of Baja California will make further efforts to battle the covid-19 outbreak

The governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar vila Olmeda, emphasized her commitment to the health of the state's population by announcing new measures to combat the spread of covid-19 in the territory, which were dictated with the support of the Scientific Committee of the Ministry of Health's analysis.

The change in coloring of the epidemiological traffic light to orange is one of these methods, with the goal of lowering traffic in public areas by 50% and drastically eliminating transmission chains.

Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda spoke on the fourth wave of the pandemic's entrance in the state and how Covid-19 variants like Omicron have resulted in record levels of infections, with over a thousand new active cases every day on average.

"It's critical to emphasize the importance of vaccination because, according to scientific evidence, an unvaccinated person has a higher risk of infecting others, in addition to the fact that intensive care beds and respirators are occupied precisely by people who have chosen not to be vaccinated," said Baja California's Governor.

As a result, the extension of vaccination stations across the state was decided. There will be four permanent vaccination centers in Tijuana, as well as permanent spaces in Tecate, Rosarito, Ensenada, the Mexicali Valley, San Felipe, and San Quintin to enhance vaccine application.

Vaccine schedules against Covid will also be extended in the afternoons, with total hours of operation on Saturdays and Sundays to accommodate the highest number of Baja Californians in need of vaccination.

In a similar vein, it was decided to convert the epidemiological traffic light to orange, which entails a 50% reduction in public space capacity, for which everyone is responsible.

Marina del Pilar stated, "I ask you to stay in contact so that you are informed of the many steps that we will unveil to battle the Covid-19 epidemic."

The president stated that the State Government and its members are fully aware of the necessity of continuing economic activity, as all residents deserve a livelihood to live and develop in dignity.

"We are at a new stage of the pandemic, Baja Californians, with strains like Omicron posing new problems that we can tackle collectively if we act responsibly. For the sake of the health of those we care about the most, I ask you to put Heart Ahead. "During a message to the people of Baja California, he ended Marina del Pilar.
