They confirm that those infected with the Omicron variety can infect up to ten other people

It should be emphasized that the traffic signal in Baja, California, will stay orange, with a maximum capacity of 50%

Due to the fast surge of Covid-19 infections caused by the Omicron version, which has been stated that for every patient infected with this variety, ten persons are afflicted, the current risk of catching the virus is 75 percent.

During a news conference on Tuesday, January 11, ISESALUD's state chief of epidemiology, Carlos Zazueta, updated that there are 5,835 current coronavirus cases in the entity, with Tijuana having the most afflicted persons. Two hundred fifty new cases and 18 deaths have been recorded in the previous 24 hours owing to this virus.

The number of daily fatalities due to this virus is projected to rise in the following weeks, according to health officials, who advise individuals not to leave their homes unless essential and to take extraordinary steps to avoid the sickness, mainly if they are unvaccinated.

The head of the agency, Medina Amarillas, recommended the whole community continue receiving Covid-19 vaccinations, stating that the virus affects the unimmunized but does not exclude those vaccinated, particularly those with comorbidities.

It's worth noting that Baja California will remain at an orange traffic light with a maximum capacity of 50% to minimize mobility in the state and therefore contain the virus's contagious.
