In one week, 16 earthquakes have been registered in the region: Cicese Ensenada

The most recent one was registered in the early morning of Monday in San Felipe

Last Friday, March 25th, two earthquakes occurred in Baja California and in the morning of Monday, March 28th, another one was reported in northeast San Felipe.

According to National Seismological Services, in the early morning of Monday at 4:25 an earthquake was registered with an intensity of 3.6 in the Richter magnitude scale, 42 km northeast of San Felipe, Baja California., at a latitude of 31.35°, a longitude of -114.61°, and a depth of 9 kilometers.

According to the Seismic Network of Northeastern Mexico, the Department of Seismology CICESE, from March 21st to March 28th, 16 earthquakes have been registered linked with the geological faults of the region. The greatest intensity event occurred on March 24 in 2022 at 8:12, local time. The intensity of this earthquake was 3.4 in the Richter magnitude scale, with its epicenter located 67.89 km northeast of the town of Santa Rosalía, Mulegé, Baja California Sur.
