Baja California continues enrollment process for 2022-2023 high school cycle

The enrollment process is still open in state public school facilities

The Government of Baja California led by Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, in cooperation with the Secretariat of Education announced that the enrollment process for the 2022-2023 high school cycle, is still open in public facilities.

The Secretary of Education Gerardo Arturo Solís Benavides, stated that around 62,000 students currently studying their third year of secondary school in Baja California are participating in this process. He reaffirmed that no young person will be left without an educational space, following instructions by the Governor that children should comply with their education from kindergarten all the way to high school in the state.

He said that the process can be carried out through the official webpage of the Secretariat of Education, www.educacionbc.edu.mx, and started last March 18th by assigning a number and code to all students interested in participating in the process

Afterwards, from March 22 to April 1 , students and parents, with their number and code, were able to choose three school options to register their application card. Besides, the education official stated that these are the next stages and dates of this process:

  • May 20. The official webpage should be looked up where one can find out in which school the diagnostic test will take place.
  • From May 23 to May 27. Formalization and payment of the corresponding application card.
  • From May 30 to June 16. Application of the diagnostic entry exam will take place.

Lastly, he pointed out that the results will be published on July 4 through the school facilities which will begin the enrollment process. Assistance will be given for those needing relocation, as well as publication of the available offers.

The public subsystems participating in this process are: Open High School, Online High School-SEP, National College of Technical Education (CONALEP), Baccalaureate College (CoBachBC), College of Scientific and Technological Studies (CECYTE), Communitary Telebaccalaureate, General Direction of Technological Industrial Education (DGETI) with their school facilities CETIS and CBTIS, General Agricultural Technological and Sea Science Education Direction (DGETAyCM), Federal Lázaro Cárdenas I, II, and III High School, and Preparatoria Municipal de Tijuana.
