Salvador Cabañas and Patiño attend official Club America school reopening in Tijuana

At this event, friendly matches were played where each player competed with their team

As part of the reopening event of the official Club América school in Tijuana, Raúl "Bala" Salinas first division former player of América, announced that Nido Águila located at Centro Deportivo Independiente (CDI) is already open as a football school for children and teenagers who are looking to improve their abilities in the field in an official school with certified club trainers.

In addition, last Tuesday June 7 at the opening event, Salinas organized "Matches Between Friends", where Salvador Cabañas and Christian Patiño, former Club América players were present, as well as Raul’s field companions during her professional player phase.

At this event, each player had a team, so the matches were between the Cabañas, Patiño, and Salinas team. Rules said that the first team to score two goals will eliminate the opposite team so that the next team could compete. Each match won earned the team 3 points and the first team to reach 12 points would win the competition.

The team that won 12 points, with more T-shirts as gifts, was Christian Patiño's, a team which did not have great plays at the beginning, but was able to win by scoring more goals. Second place was the Salvador Cabañas team and third place, Salinas’ team.

At the reopening, family relatives of people who trained at Nido Águila before the pandemic were present as well as children and teenagers, who already training once more at the school. Media outlets, journalists, and commentators were also present.

At the end of the event, attendants were able to take a picture with the players and participate in the signing autograph process that had been expected since the beginning.

Salinas mentioned:

I hope that many children come here. Here, at this school, the official Club América school in the city of Tijuana, these children will learn physical, technical, tactical, and mental skills.
