Interurban Tijuana-Rosarito train will become a reality

The project was presented on Sunday

As it is known, the traffic that occurs when going from Tijuana to Rosarito and vice versa is quite chaotic and creates long waiting times for all people. As such, the government of Baja California has planned a progressive solution that adapts to these needs.

The interurban Tijuana-Playas de Rosarito train is a reality: the project was presented on the morning of Sunday, September 4 where they claimed that the train will carry around 20,000 to 30,000 people per day, reduce traffic, and will have several stations such as Agua Caliente, Rubí, Morelos, among others.

Madero station will be one of the most remarkable ones, since it is part of an idea to revitalize Tijuana’s historic center. It wants to attract tourism and eliminate traffic from Santa Fe. It will also create jobs, since all these stations will need personnel.

Among other projects, a skyscraper will be built at the Mexico gate whose goal will be to welcome visitors from the US. In addition, it was claimed at the conference that a theme park will be opened; though its name was not revealed, it was also claimed that it is the third of its kind in the world.
