First Public Relations Congress takes place in Baja California

National and international speakers attended “Frontera 2022”, the first public relations congress that has taken place in Baja California

The Public Relations Specialists Association (PRORBC) held their first congress “Frontera 2022” in the city of Tijuana, Baja California in order to create a space to exchange ideas and professional experiences regarding public relations. These experiences are a set of techniques that they have applied directly and indirectly on the field, both in their personal lives and at work.

Facundo Gamez, President of PRORPBC, pointed out that these conferences were first rate and the speakers spoke about current issues regarding the growth of the professionals, communicators, and students that attended the Frontera 2022 Congress.

“We manage to cross the border of communication to really connect with our audiences,” Facundo Gamez stated.

At this congress, the following people were present: Giselle Perezblas, specialized strategist in political, media, and crisis management communication, and president of “Auguro” who spoke about “The Challenges of Political Communication”; Enrique Flores who spoke about “The Value of Public Relations at Guadalajara’s International Film Festival”; and Claudio Flores Thomas, businessman, communication consultant and business accelerator.

The President of the Board of Directors at AVE (Alliance for the Strategic Value of Brands) for the 2020-2022 period, gave the following speech: “New Generations, New Paradigms to Connect with Them.”

Ivette Lagos, Communications Director at Vilebrequin and former Public Relations Director at Hermés México and Chanel México, gave the following speech: “Grand Public Relations as a Communication Tool.”

Óscar Kaufmann, CEO and founder of StreamicsLab, a social data science company focused on hearing technology, digital intelligence, and analysis, and director of Torres y Carrera México, spoke about “Digital Public Relations, Containment and Contrast Regarding Post-Truth.”

The Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, inaugurated the Frontera 2022 Congress. Michel Guerrero, Subsecretary of Economy Promotion at the Secretariat of Economy and Innovation, also participated in the inauguration. Rafael Garate, President of PRORP, and Olga Oro Coppel, vice president of PRORP, were also present.

More than 200 people attended this event whose goal is to become a unique meeting point. Its first edition has put the name of Tijuana and the state on the map, demonstrating the high-quality activity of public relations that is developing in the most visited border in the world.
