In the middle of Christmas Eve! Delayed flights at Tijuana International Airport cause chaos

The night fog has caused several flights to be delayed

Christmas Eve is one of the busiest days of the month, where some families are doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, some are making their Christmas dinner, and some are looking to travel to the place where they will be spending their Christmas at. However, in Tijuana, this has become a challenge due to a series of delayed flights.

Tijuana International Airport is currently in chaos as fog that appeared in the Friday evening of December 23 caused a series of flight delays that have affected travelers all the way until this morning.

A family who is looking to travel to La Paz, Baja California Sur has been on the waiting list since 6 AM and, until 9 AM, they still didn’t know anything about their flight, as it didn’t show up in the screens.

When speaking with other travelers, it was revealed that some flights have been delayed for up to 5 days when their flights should have taken off since December 23. Undoubtedly, flight delays happen in order to safeguard the staff and crew, however, it also significantly affects people who want to spend time with their loved ones during the holidays.
