Rain will return to Tijuana this weekend

The Civil Protection Agency warned that a cold front is expected on Saturday which will cause rain on Sunday

According to weather forecasts shared by the Civil Protection Agency of Tijuana, on Thursday, February 16, weather conditions will cause frost in the region, as well as wind in the afternoons of Thursday and Friday. However, wind weather will change.

Civil Protection warned that on Saturday a cold front is expected that will cause rain to come back to the city on Sunday, which is why they recommend keeping an eye on recommendations issued by health authorities.

“In the early morning of Thursday, possible frost is expected in the valleys, as well as moderate winds in the afternoons of Thursday and Friday that will cause a gradual increase in temperatures into the weekend where a cold front with rain is expected,” they stated in their newsletter.

On the other hand, the National Commission of Water (CONAGUA) posted that cold front #33 will interact with a low pressure channel which will create electric discharges in certain parts of the country. In northern Mexico, currents from the polar and subtropical vortex will create strong winds and low temperatures.

As such, gusts of wind ranging from 70 to 90 km/h will hit Baja California.
