Marina del Pilar strengthens Baja California’s relation with the United States

The governor of Baja California held a meeting with US Consul in Tijuana to talk about important issues related to binational life

Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the governor of Baja California, held a meeting with the US Consul in Tijuana, Thomas E. Reott, where they addressed issues of interest for the state in order to strengthen bonds with US authorities.

At this meeting, where the Secretary of Economy and Innovation, Kurt Ignacio Honold Morales, was present, joint work routes were planned in order to benefit the state of Baja California, as they are working together in coordination with the federal governments of Mexico and the United States.

The governor highlighted the coordination that exists between the government of the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and US President, Joe R. Biden, to develop projects to benefit both nations, mainly in regards to improving the quality of life of the people of both countries.

Regarding the specific case of Baja California, Marina del Pilar highlighted the importance that the United States has as the main investor in the state, as American companies create jobs and wellbeing for hundreds of thousands of families, according to official figures.

Lastly, Governor Marina del Pilar reaffirmed her commitment to continue strengthening the binational relation and promoting the California and Baja California region as the most dynamic border in the world, always maintaining open and collaborative dialogue to create mutual benefits.
