Find out where to buy dollars with the best exchange rate near the San Ysidro port of entry

Dollar prices are still increasing at Tijuana’s exchange houses. If you’re planning to cross the border, this information will interest you!

A few days ago, the Mexican peso was at its best level against the dollar. These rates had not been seen since 2018, which means that the dollar hadn’t been this low since 5 years ago. However, though we were able to find the dollar at a price of $17.57 pesos in Tijuana, a new price increase this week dealt a heavy blow that brought us back to reality.

On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, around 12 PM, the exchange rate in several exchange houses in Tijuana was around $18.40 pesos for the most expensive ones and $17.94$ for the cheapest ones. All the exchange houses these prices were based on are near the port of entry, at Zona Río or Agua Caliente Boulevard.

On the other hand, here are three of the best exchange houses close to the San Ysidro port of entry so you can purchase dollars and cross into the United States:

The following two can be found at Agua Caliente Boulevard, between Avenida Sirak Baloyan (known as Pío Pico) and Calle 11.

In addition, this exchange house is found at Plaza La Once in Avenida Melchor Ocampo & Calle 11, Zona Centro, 22000 Tijuana, B.C.

The following exchange house is found at Zona Río in front of Plaza Financiera. As one can see, the dollar is already over $18.00 pesos, unlike others. The difference is minimal, but it could be useful if you’re around the area and cannot go somewhere else.

This last exchange house is one of the most expensive ones and is close to the port of entry. The dollar price is at $18.40 pesos. It is located at Blvd. Cuauhtémoc Nte. 298, Buena Vista, Libertad, 22400 Tijuana, B.C.
