Marina del Pilar assists the people of Mexicali’s western sector

The governor was present during the restoration of 5 kilometers of the Santa Isabel highway

Today the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar, supervised the restoration projects of 5 kilometers of the Santa Isabel highway in the city of Mexicali where she also addressed residents’ needs regarding social matters.

Firstly, Marina del Pilar supervised the restoration of the Santa Isabel highway between Avenues Continente Europeo and Gómez Morín Poniente, a road that is over 5 kilometers long, to benefit more than 150,000 people, which covers an area of more than 57,000 square meters.

In her visit, the governor explained that the road’s restoration and the installation of horizontal and vertical signs was carried out in order to improve the conditions of the asphaltic layer and provide safety to drivers that travel through this area every day.

Subsequently, the governor toured the neighborhood, alongside the heads of the Secretariat of Welfare, the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territory Redesign (SIDURT), the State Utilities Commission of Mexicali (CESPM), and the Urbanization Council of the State (JUE).

The head of the Secretariat of Welfare, Netzahualcóyotl Jáuregui Santillán, stated that applications were received to include more people in social aid frameworks, coordinated from the state government of Baja California, and several issues were followed up.

In her tour, Marina del Pilar took notice of requests regarding infrastructure matters and strategies to improve several public utilities, mainly the ones focused on strengthening the water supply as a fundamental right for the wellbeing of society at large.

In addition, the governor went to Colonia San Miguel, where she was able to supervise this community park’s conditions and interact with its residents in order to listen to and address their concerns directly.
