CESPT announces that repair work will affect water supply in some neighborhoods in Tijuana

CESPT stated that this repair work will last around 6 hours

The State Utilities Commission of Tijuana (CESPT) issued a statement where they informed people about the repair work that will take place at the Otay-Libertad aqueduct in the city. Though some areas have recovered their services, several important areas could be affected by low pressure, intermittent interruptions, or lack of water due to these works.

Specifically, this will affect the following neighborhoods: Aeropuerto-Libertad, Ciudad Industrial-Otay Constituyentes, Tomas Aquino-Tecnológico, Los Álamos, Ejido Chilpancingo-Campestre Murúa, and Zona Rio Oriente-Colonia Federal-Buena Vista.

CESPT has stated that this repair work will last more than 6 hours and, once they are finished, the water supply system will begin operations in the affected areas around 9 PM. Water services will recover gradually in the following 12 hours.

Due to this, CESPT has recommended users of affected areas to take preventive measures to avoid not having any water during this time period. It is important to store enough water for basic activities such as cooking, taking a bath, or laundry. In addition, users have been asked to keep an eye on official reports and follow instructions by authorities in order to prevent emergencies.
