Mexican pride! Women’s team crowned champion at the 2023 Archery World Cup

Their true challenge came when they faced off against China in the finals

Mexico has been crowned champion at the 2023 Recurve Archery World Cup 2023, thanks to the women’s team consisting of Aída Román, Alejandra Valencia, and Ángela Ruiz who defeated the Chinese team in the finals which took place in Antalya, Turkey.

The Mexican team dominated the competition since the beginning, defeating the home team in the round of sixteen, the Italian team in the quarterfinals, and the Spanish team in the semifinals, without receiving a single point against. However, the true challenge was the finals against the Chinese team who had had a very great performance during the tournament.

Despite this, the Mexican team did not let their guard down and with great precision they achieved victory, winning the finals with a 6-0 score. With this achievement, the athletes achieved their second gold medal in the same year, after also winning the World Cup in Medellín.

The Mexican Olympic Committee congratulated the winners on its official Twitter account, acknowledging their outstanding performance and their commitment to sports.

This victory represents an important achievement for the archery team, not to mention what it means for sports in Mexico as it continues to demonstrate the high quality they have in international competitions .
