Tijuana will be the venue of Triplemanía 31 for second year in a row

Mayor Montserrat Caballero stated that the lucha libre event by Triple A will take place in the border city

The city of Tijuana will be the venue of one of Mexico’s most important entertainment events: Triplemanía 31. This was announced by Tijuana mayor Montserrat Caballero today, adding that it will take place at Estadio Chevron on July 15.

“We are very happy to be, for second year in a row, the hosts of Triplemanía 31 so that we can show that in Tijuana things are done with toughness, but above all with a lot of technique, in order to save our youth through this sport and unite our families,” Caballero Ramírez stated.

At the central courtyard of the municipal palace, the mayor highlighted that through lucha libre, the 24th Administration of Tijuana is looking to highlight the importance of these athletes as, more than a violent issue, it is a discipline issue.

During this conference, carried out alongside the Secretary of Welfare, Gerardo López Montes, the mayor invited children to see luchadores as an example to follow regarding their tenacity and sportsmanship, basic elements to avoid bad habits.

Triple A Director, Dorian Roldán, said that thanks to the response received last year, Tijuana was chosen once again. He also recognized the support that the Municipal Government provided to the company, especially because great worldwide stars developed in these lands.

There will be 7 matches at Triplemanía, with the standouts being Team Chilango, led by Negro Casas against Team Baja, where Nicho el Millonario will lead the team. There will also be the final match of “Guerra de Rivalidades” between Rush and L.A. Park against Psycho Clown and Sam Adonis, as well as the match between Hijo del Vikingo against Kenny Omega.
