State Forces and Municipal Police seize loaded assault rifle in Tijuana

Authorities arrested a man who was in possession of a long firearm loaded with several useful cartridges

Agents of the Citizen State Forces (FESC) and agents of the Municipal Police of Tijuana arrested Carlos “N”, who was in possession of a long firearm loaded with several useful cartridges. He also had an arrest warrant due to car theft.

This arrest took place at Avenida De Las Torres in Colonia Mariano Matamoros in the municipality of Tijuana, where several police patrol actions were being carried out by both organizations.

The man, who was walking on the sidewalk, noticed the presence of authorities and dropped a green bag under a parked car.

After inspecting the discarded bag, the agents found a rifle firearm with two magazines, one of which was loaded with 10 useful cartridges.

In addition, when checking the database of the Control, Command, Communication, and Computing Center (C-4), they confirmed that 33-year-old Carlos “N” is a native of Cosamalopan, Veracruz and he has an active arrest warrant due to car theft with file number 03445/2022 and NUC number NUC 04-2022-21383.

Without violating his rights as a detainee, Carlos “N” was informed that he would be sent over to the Federal Prosecutor Agency (FGR) as they will determine his legal situation.

The Secretariat of Citizen Security of Baja California (SSCBC) continues to work in coordination with other authorities in order to maintain order and return peace to the streets of our state.
