Tijuana police arrest United States fugitive and hand him over at the San Ysidro port of entry

The criminal was wanted in the United States for violating his parole related to the crime of methamphetamine trafficking

Today on Tuesday, May 16, agents of the municipal police of Tijuana, part of the Special Tactics Unit, arrested an individual who is a California native. Besides having an arrest warrant, he was a fugitive of the United States justice system.

This arrest took place after a domestic violence report and 35-year-old Julio César “N”, a San Diego native, was detained. When the Secretariat checked his fingerprints, it was discovered that he was wanted in the US due to violating his parole related to the crime of methamphetamine trafficking.

The head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPCM), Fernando Sánchez González, highlighted that through the International Connection Unit of the Secretariat of Security and in coordination with the National Institute of Immigration (INM), they worked together with United States Marshal Services so that this individual arrested by agents of the Tijuana municipal police was handed over to US authorities at the San Ysidro port of entry.
