The 32 governors of Mexico were rated by public opinion through a study made by multiagent platform Demoscopia Digital. These results gather the approval ratings of the Mexican people for May 2023.
From these results, Baja Californian Governor Marina del Pilar’s ranking is the standout. With an approval rating of 66.4%, the Baja Californian governor was placed 2nd place nationwide among the leaders with the best approval ratings.
Since she took office in Baja California, Marina del Pilar has consolidated herself with the Baja Californian population that see in her a trustworthy and honest governor. That’s why she is always ranking in the first few places of these national polls. However, these results are not just a coincidence, but actually a result of the governor and her cabinet’s constant work.
Her actions have ranked her, since the beginning of her administration, in the top 10 best leaders in Mexico; such is the case with the most recent poll which took place in May that rates her 2nd place among the 32 governors in Mexico.
The first place was taken by PAN governor Teresa Jiménez from the state of Aguascalientes with 67.5%; third place was taken by the head of government of Mexico City and possible MORENA presidential candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, with an approval rating of 66.1%. It should be noted that the first three places were taken by women, something very unique that is occurring in Mexico.
Fourth place was taken by Nuevo León governor, Samuel García, of Movimiento Ciudadano with 65.9%, followed by MORENA governor Julio Menchaca from the state of Hidalgo with 65.2% in fifth place.
Results were obtained through WhatsApp polls made by multiagent platform Demoscopia Digital, with a sample of 1,000 citizens older than 18 years of age in each state of Mexico.
