Balboa Park will celebrate the cultures of the world with this amazing free event

There will be performances and storytellers on an iconic theater

Both Tijuana and San Diego are multicultural regions due to their border and the huge amount of people who visit this area every day, some of which come from other countries and bring their knowledge to the community. This occurs especially if they decide to stay and live here.

For those who like learning new things, Balboa Park brings you an incredible opportunity. If you go to the Japanese Friendship Garden on Tuesday, June 20, you will be able to explore new cultures on their “Culture Day” which will occur from 10 AM to 5 PM.

This celebration will occur at the same time as the Japanese Friendship Garden’s Resident Free Day, which happens on the third Thursday of every month and grants a free admission to all attendants. Both celebrations have joined together for the same goal: to reveal everything there is to know about other cultures so that they can make people feel the wish to travel to other countries.

At this event, you’ll be able to enjoy food from the following restaurants:

  • Sabor Piri Piri
  • House of Bao
  • Gabina’s Cuisine
  • Li Hing Queen
  • Ice Cream Wheelers

This is not all, as this event will have performances by Masasumikai, Yako Eicher Trio, and San Diego Hula Academy. Kodama Forest will have a stand where they will offer beautiful plants perfect for your home, and Kamishibai will have a storyteller show for the whole family which will occur at their iconic theater.
