Marina del Pilar founds "Sassi del Valle", the new tourist complex of Baja California

The governor of Baja California was present during the foundation of the tourist complex linked with Val'Quirico

After 4 years of planning, the foundation of "Sassi del Valle" took place today. This is the second village created by important tourism entrepreneurs of our country, led by the Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco, and the ambassador of Italy, Luigi de Chiara.

Sassi del Valle is a community inspired in Matera, Italy, in accordance with two foundations: themed architecture and the circular economy of reciprocal development with the community of the region.

Governor Marina del Pilar and Secretary Miguel Torruco declared this Tuesday morning the foundation of Sassi del Valle. The municipal president of Ensenada, Armando Ayala Robles, the ambassador of China in Mexico, Zhang Run, and national and local entrepreneurs were present as witnesses.

With this act on Tuesday, one of the country's most successful projects has arrived in Baja California, highlighted Governor Marina del Pilar, who highlighted the trust that investors have shown.

Sassi del Valle is linked with Val'Quirico in Tlaxcala, the first destination in this chain of touristic spaces, which will be given to a limited number of planned places, built and administered completely by the private sector.

"We thank the trust of the Secretary of Tourism of Mexico, Miguel Torruco Marqués, by backing the creation of this unique concept and promoting the second town of this valuable eastern style in Baja California. Sassi del Valle is more than a town, as its fate is to be one of Mexico's most important tourism destinations. It is the heart of a new era for Valle de Guadalupe, where economy, tourism, community development, architecture, wellbeing, and future join together in harmony to be an example of a fuller and more prosperous life for everyone," the governor said.

Marina del Pilar stated that Sassi means stones in Italian, which is why it is very significant to lay the first stone of that bright tomorrow that Baja California and the beautiful municipality of Ensenada deserve.

"Today is a historic day for tourism in Mexico and a reference of friendship and collaboration between our nation and Italy," Torruco Marqués said.

It should be noted that it is estimated that Sassi del Valle will be ready to operate regularly between the spring and summer of 2024; this will be the moment where it will receive its first visitors both from Mexico and the rest of the world.

At this event, the following people were present: the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, Miguel Aguiñiga Rodríguez; the bishop of Ensenada, Rafael Valdez Torres; and the foundational councilors of Sassi del Valle, Salomón Lagos Piñeiro and Adolfo Mauricio Blanca Núñez.

Marina del Pilar renews vehicular park of Ángeles Verdes

As part of her activities in Ensenada, Governor Marina del Pilar delivered six new vehicular units to renew the vehicular park of the Ángeles Verdes organization, attached to the Secretariat of Tourism, and pointed out that 10 more units will be delivered later to this organization.

The head of Ángeles Verdes, Alejandro Zúñiga, thanked the support of the state government, as it has been at least a decade in which they hadn’t received essential vehicles to travel through the main highways and roads of Baja California and help tourists so that they can have a better experience when visiting the state.
