The state government led by Marina del Pilar works to guarantee the safety of thousands of students before they go back to school

The action plan for the back-to-school of more than 660,000 children and teenagers in basic education on Monday, August 28 has begun in all of the state's municipalities, stated Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda during the supervision of conditions of a school center before the beginning of the 2023-2024 school cycle in Baja California.

The state governor held a gathering with the community at elementary school "Carmen Piña Rodríguez" in the municipality of Mexicali, where she had the opportunity to speak with students, mothers, fathers, teachers, and the school's administrative staff who told her about the progress made in the school to welcome students. In addition, they also spoke about the support received by the Secretariat of Wellbeing and the Secretariat of Education.

Regarding this, Marina del Pilar highlighted that the “Pancita Llena, Corazón Contento” program will be kept and strengthened. This program, managed by the Secretariat of Wellbeing led by Netzahualcóyotl Jáuregui Santillán, has the means to provide 300,000 hot breakfasts to students in Baja California, with support from parents in order to give students nutritious diets.

For his part, the Secretary of Education of Baja California, Gerardo Arturo Solís Benavides, spoke about the preparations and actions deployed by his Secretariat and the Institute of Physical Education Infrastructure of Baja California (INIFE), led by Javier Urbalejo, whose goal is to make the back-to-school process on Monday an ordered and safe event for the hundreds of thousands of people in school communities in the state.
