Café en el Mar returns to Rosarito with more than 20 coffee shops for a good cause

Learn all about the pink drinks that the best cafés of Rosarito will make for you

Currently, people's love for coffee has increased all over the world and Rosarito is not far behind as it has a great variety of coffee shops that you can enjoy.

Without a doubt, it is a delicious complement to make any talk between friends, couples, and families much better. That is why we have seen more events to promote drinking this delicious drink. An example of this is the exhibition "Café en el Mar" (Coffee by the Sea).

For three years, it has been considered a way to support and promote local coffee shops, which have demonstrated to be able to offer high-quality coffee with delicious desserts and foods.

Organized by the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry, (CANIRAC), with support from the Committee of Tourism and Conventions of Rosarito (COTUCO), this event has been growing stronger every year, becoming one of Rosarito natives' and tourists' favorite events. This is why an attendance of 3,000 people is expected on this occasion.

This time, Café en el Mar presents its 3rd edition supporting Proyecto Celene, an association that is looking to raise awareness about preventing and fighting against breast cancer, just as International Breast Cancer Day takes place.

What is Café en el Mar?

Café en el Mar is an exhibition that gathers more than 20 local coffee shops in Rosarito, accompanied with live music, food, and desserts.

Among these cafés, you'll find:

Garage Café: They offer crepes, salads, and sandwiches with a variety of frappés, herbal teas, lattes, and more.
Café Para Tres: They will have delicious confectionery to sweeten your palate, as well as hot and cold drinks for all tastes.
Monociclo Libros & Café: They have the standards of a specialty Italian bar and the option of reading a book from their huge literary catalog.

And much more!

In addition, in this edition, attendants will be able to let their creativity flow by painting at the emblematic pier of Hotel Rosarito while enjoying delicious coffee, guided by plastic artist Leticia Abigael.

When and where?

Enjoy this great event on Sunday, October 8 from 12 PM to 9 PM in the gardens in front of Mar del Hotel Rosarito.

Enjoy recently ground coffee, gardens, and the spectacular view in Café en el Mar, and why not? Try to paint something at the pier!

Costs

Admission to this event is completely free, but the painting activity has a cost of $600 pesos. Payment is directly made to artist Leticia Abigael.

Part of the money recollected will be given to Proyecto Celene, a foundation that supports the fight against breast cancer whose goal is to have a mobile vehicle unit to reach women from marginalized communities in the region.

Go in pink!

As you know, October is Breast Cancer month, which is why attendants are encouraged to come dressed in pink to symbolize their support in this fight.

In 2022, the national mortality rate of breast cancer was 18 deaths per 100,000 women who are 20 years old or older. This can be prevented with early detection.

This is why Café en el Mar will donate the earnings of this event to Proyecto Celene as a way to contribute to breast cancer prevention.

In addition, participating coffee shops will make a pink-colored drink that will represent them and the most creative ones will be awarded. Don't miss this event and choose your favorite!
