The Van Gogh Immersive Experience has fascinated the whole world, as it shows the art and inspirations behind Vincent Van Gogh's paintings, bringing them to life through projections, giant statues, and music.
A recent event posted on Facebook claimed that this experience was coming to Tijuana, specifically at Centro Cultural Tijuana (CECUT). This post had received more than 5,000 reactions from people interested in attending or at least confirming their attendance.
CECUT denies arrival of Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience
CECUT released a statement clearing up this situation:
- It has nothing to do with this institution.
- There is no contact with the organizers of this event.
- No tickets are being sold regarding this experience.
In addition, CECUT reiterated that ticket sales are only done on their official website or at their ticket booth, as no third parties are used to sell them.
Will this event come to Tijuana?
Though CECUT verified that this immersive experience will not be available, the official website of Fever, a website specialized in sharing events that has sold experiences such as Candlelight, which has taken place in Tijuana, created a page where they provide information about the arrival in Tijuana of "Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience". However, the location has only been said to be "a special place in Tijuana that will be revealed". They also invite people to subscribe so that they can receive an email regarding ticket sales.
However, the company in charge of this experience, Lighthouse Immersive, has not made any statements about bringing this event to Mexico, least of all Tijuana. The experience is already available in other places such as Toronto and Las Vegas.
In addition, on social media, they share when one of their experiences will be available in a new place; they have said nothing about bringing the Van Gogh Immersive Experience to Tijuana. This is why whether this event will take place in Tijuana is currently in doubt. What we know is that CECUT has nothing to do with the fake event that is currently being promoted.
It should be noted that SanDiegoRed will be following up on this issue which has interested the people of Tijuana. This type of immersive experiences is rare in Tijuana, which is why we invite you to follow our social media pages so you can find out if Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience will arrive in Tijuana sometime in the future.
