American saves himself from becoming "blind drug mule" by checking his car before crossing the San Ysidro port of entry

The Municipal Police seized the narcotics this man who was going to cross the border had found

Around 23 kilos of crystal meth and 5 kilos of fentanyl were seized by the Municipal Police when they received a report by a senior who had found two suspicious suitcases inside his car.

A 77-year old Californian man called the 9-1-1 emergency line to report two strange objects inside his Toyota vehicle, which is why municipal police agents quickly moved to his address located at Fraccionamiento Playas Diamantes.

When they arrived, the officers inspected the bags that the citizen had found in his car, and here they found 50 packages of substances grainy to the touch, characteristic of the drug known as crystal meth and four square packages of what looked like fentanyl.

As such, these seized objects were handed over to Mexico's Attorney General Agency so that the proper investigation can proceed.

People are encouraged to check their vehicles if they cross the border constantly and report any suspicious objects to 9-1-1 or the Emergency Button app that could make you a victim of being a blind drug mule.
